I took out this really big bar that was under my rear seats in my 99 civic si and I wasnt sure if it was there for any structural support or if its just something they threw in for safty crap

So far I have taken out air conditioning, power steering, seat belts (harness) everything out of the trunk and soon to take out the tar, any other weight reduaction secrets would be great

its there for structural support. Important to chassis rigidity. I removed it to test out the idea on a EK, car felt like mush twisted and turned all nasty like.
