Just picked up an 88 Si w/modified B16A (CTR cams, DC headers, CAI, Mugen Ecu, AEM AFPR) and the car is pretty fast. I picked it up cuz i needed a daily driver and have always liked the CRX. I have a few questions though:
1. I need speakers and plan on going 6.5 separates in front and 6x9 in the rear. Any thoughts?
2. My "check engine" light stays on, what are common causes?
3. How many miles per tank do those with B16 swaps (preferably 88's) get? I got around 150 miles on 8Gallons. I think the gas gauge is pretty inaccurate though. I understand the tank capacity is around 12 Gal, correct? Thanks.

When did you email me?
Well you need to locate your ECU and count how many short and long blinks it throws.
For example, long blink=10 , each short blink is 1. If you get 2 long blinks followed by 2 short blinks, then you got code 22.

If it's still pre-obd then you should be able to lift up the passenger side carpet where your feet would rest etc. and look for a led that blinks when the car is on. I don't have links and stuff that tell you how to do this exactly, and I'm quite frankly not feelin like explainin it step by step...but with some searchin you can figgure it out, not too hard.
Sounds like you got a sweet deal on a DD.

A few days ago when they were on Ebay but you said they don't fit 88's without slight modification. Anyway, my seats aren't a priority at the moment so I may have to pass on them. Just trying to get this car in shape first.

Just pulled up the passenger carpet and there's a large metal plate with 4 bolts covering something. Could this be the ECU? Does it automatically flash codes?
BTW, the car has no cat and runs on the rich side.

Turn the car on, and just look at the ECU, it should start to blink. Now if it doesn't blink, then just turn the car off, disconnect the negative terminal to your car battery for about 1 minute, re-connect it and cracnk the car up. Wait a while and see if the Check Engine Light (CEL) turns on again.

Ahhhh I see what the problem is. The ECU is mounted upside down or something because the LED was blocked by the metal plate. It flashes 15? or 25. it has a long flash...(long pause) shorter flash - 5 real short flashes.

I have seen it done, it requires a little trimming.
