oil pan torque specs???
anyone know the ft./lbs I need to torque the oil pan bolts to on a D16A6? I searched and saw a couple of guesses but nothing definite. I am waiting for my helms to arrive but i would like to take care of this in the next day or two. i think it's between 9-15 lbs or so.
thanks

For a D16A6 apply liquid gasket (hondaBOND or like product) to the 4 points where the pans dips for the crank, apply between the gasket and oil pan
tighten bolts and nuts finger tight at six points starting in the center (number 1) above the drain plug, directly across, then both ends (left and right side)by the dips for the crank.
tighten all bolts and nuts starting from bolt 1 (number 1) clockwise in three steps
Torque 14N.m (1.4 kg-m, or 10 lb-ft)
Excessive tightening can casue distortion or the oil pan gasket and leakage
i use a 1/4 in rachet with a 6 inch extension and a deep 1/4 10 mm 6 point socket
does the trip every time, also i use a small amount of GASKASINCH on the gasket itself and oil pan ensures a seal
