my buddy just bought a b16 swap from 2000 civic si, and he's gonna drop it in his 98 civic ex. he's got the engine, tranny, harness, and ecu. my questions is will his current axles work, if not which ones does he need to buy?

 

u need the b16 axels

 

SO DO I NEED AXLES FROM A 99-00 SI, OR CAN THEY BE OFF A GSR OR DEL SOL. THE REASON I ASK IS IM GOING TO AUTOZONE, AND GETTING WICHEVER THEY HAVE IN STOCK.

All the hydro tranny b-series axles are the same... even the automatic LS ones. The only difference is the automatic LS intermediate shaft. The axles themselves are the same.

 

get brand new B series axles.. it will save u a ton of headache in the long run

 

and yes, from a 99-00 si.

don't forget the proper intermediate shaft if he doesnt already have one... get the on specific for the tranny
