solution for rusted quarters...
I have been wanting to fix the rust on the quarters of my street hatch (beater)
but the only solutions that I have found so far are: buy complete new rear quarter panels, and have them welded on, or have some custom build up done to "re-make" the rusted part.
the 1st is super expensive, and the second is kind of a "bandaid" fix IMO.
So I stumbled across these online. they allow you to section out/in as much or as little as you want, to replace the rusty portions. And the best part is that they are cheap.
BOTH sides cost me $60 shipped.
you can get them from http://www.rustrepair.com, you have to dig a bit on their site to find them, but its worth it.
hope this helps some of you hatch owners that hate rust!

perfect! I just talked to my friends boss who does body work and he said he'll take care of the rust on both sides, fix a couple spot on my hood, fix all the dings in my roof, and fix all the deep scratches in my rear bumper for 400 no paint if I find the sides like those or 500 no paint if he had to make custom one out of sheet metal. I'm deffinately going to get me a pair from there. Thanks for the link.
edit:
I just tried finding some on that site and couldn't. Am I looking in the wrong place or something. I need them for a 92-95 hatch as well.

Anyways, I cant seem to find them on the site anymore either.

Or, you could get a grinder, grind off all the rust and all around the rust, weld in steel, then fiberglass over. Its that easy. Everyone makes way to big of a deal out of a little bit of rust.
EDIT: Not that those quarter panels aren't a good idea, but people seem to make way to big of a deal out of a little bit of rust.
