Default y1 or ys1

ok, here is the problem. I bought the y1 tranny a few weeks ago and now i found a deal and also bought the ys1 tranny. Im not sure which one to use, both of them have lsd just wanted to have some peoples opinion on it. Eddie

i havent used eighther but both have fairly been used. why would you choose the y1 over the other?

I believe the Y1 is the "SiR" spec tranny. the gear ratios should be different from the YS1 if I remember correctly.

I think the ys1 has the shortest gears. Only jdm or gsr though.

YS1 92-93 GSR USDM or JDM has shortest gear ratio
S1/J1 have same gearing as 96 type-R
Y1 has longer gear ratio
YS1 LS tranny has LONGEST gearing
I would choose YS1 with LSD if it is indeed a GSR trans. if it is a GSR an ypu dont want it PM me ill buy it from you. PM me

So S1 and J1 are the same? My buddy has an XSi B16 with an S1 and mine from an XSi has a J1 and I thought J1 was shorter?
