Default is it worth it?

I need a new motor, my stock d15 is on its last limb and its time for me to do a swap. I have the opportunity right now to get the engine of my choice, locally, in new or like-new condition, for 650 dollars. Not the whole swap just any motor i want to pick. I can either put in a brand new stock dx motor, or a d16a1, or hell even a b16 if i so choose, but i dont have the money or the tech experience needed to install the b16 and make it work so i think im gonna go with the si motor.

Now, 650 for a d16a1 motor, by the time i bought everything for the swap would it still be such a good deal? around what would it cost?

I think thats a pretty good deal in my eyes. The b16 swap is not as cheap as most magazines or general "honda public" thinks. There are a lot of little things that add up to big numbers. So I think 650 for brand new or like new enigine is good. I just got done building myself a d15 allmotor daily for around 850-950, some people call me stupid others think it's a cool idea. Hell that was the most inexpensive thing I could find that I could trust!
