My car has been hit along the driver side while parked. The fender and the rear door are messed up. I've found someone with a door and fender for $50 but the colors dont match. I planned on getting the car painted but during christmas time.

1) Can I primer the car and put a clear coating on the primer until christmas time instead of primering, and painting a flat color?


What steps would I have to do when its time to get it painted? Do I just sand the clear coat off and then paint it?
