Default alinement problem EF Gurus look inside

Ok i went to get my crx alined (caster camber{i got a crossmember} and toe) they told me that my tie rods where adjusted all the way in and that the car is still toed out too far (also tried to charge me 350 bucks but i havent settled that yet) Now i have CRX Sir knuckles with new carquest/moog tie rods (outers) does the knuckles affect the toe at all? or is it the non-oem tie rod? ive never heard anything about these knuckles so i figure its the tie rods.

**** i need help

All you used from the SiR were the knuckles right, nothing else like LCAs or upper arms?

I see, I used my stock LCAs, and upper arms, I just used the Teg knuckles and I don't have any problems.

Yeah, mine are OEM as of now. It could be that but I am no alignment expert so I wouldn't want to give you any bad info.

I'm running the SiR knuckles.

Here's my install write-up

http://home.socal.rr.com/civic...x.htm

The tie rod hole in the knuckle is noticably closer to the steering rack.

So what you're saying is that 90 teg knuckles would work fine in a 90 crx with stock lca and upper? It would not screw up the aligment?
I have a donor 90 rs teg that I would love to part out...

lol that write up was yours ? nice

personally, i wouldn't use teg knuckles, i had a set and decided to go with the EX knuckles instead. i've heard the teg knuckles will fit and all but your alignment wont be right.

to use siR knuckles you nees to use the siR track rod ends also as the siR track rod ends are shorter than the ones you replaced

you don't need the upper arms or lca's

Yes, I have been using 91 Teg knuckles for about 8 months now and I have no problems so far. I just needed to get an alignment right after I got them installed.

Seems like you didnt' read the whole thread.

I used all USDM parts except the knuckles.
See the previous reply I did with my install write-up.

It's a whole lot easier to just mod the tie rods than to try sourcing JDM SiR ones.

you are correct i haven't read your write up, i was going from memory when i did mine

i'm assuming if he can get the knuckles the track rod ends shouldn't be a problem either. which is easier than modding standard ones.
