Default Importing a 90-92 integra into Canada from the US

I was wondering if it was worth it to do this. Ive seen some nice/cheap integras on here and other boards, but they are located in the US!

So anyone with any kind of information on the subject, can you tell me;

a) What the need to do to be completely street legal (If they arent already)

b) The general cost of the whole situation

and c) Is there anyway to get around all this ****?

Thanks for the help guys

Well my situation was the reverse of yours that I wanted to import a Canadian GSR into the States. Its started off good enough I went down to the local customs agent and they said when ever I get the car down here just fill out the 3 forms and call up Acura and ask for a conformity letter. Stating that the car does conform to US epa and dot standards. I called acura they said sure just fax over all the info of the buy + seller and a notarized bill of sale.

I called them about 4 times making sure this was all I needed then when I actually faxed it too them they denied me the letter. They said that they do not condone the sales of Acura cars from the US to Canada or Canada to the US. I don't know if your going to have to get this letter but I'm going to assume you will have too.

To answer your questions the car itself should be street legal, the general cost if you can do it will probably be just the taxes and a notarized bill of sale. And there is NO way around it, its a bitch of a process and IMHO not worth it.
*NOTE* I'm sorry there is a way around it and thats too get a authorized importer to import it for you. Also IMHO not worth it cause those guys charge alot of $$$

thats one of the things i had to look into doing back when i was going to import a mkiv supra into canada.
