Well, I could get you one from japan... the cost that my friend priced was about $500 US. The only problem is that it's $600-700 to ship, and it'll take nearly 2 months to get here.

Because you're talking out of your ***. It's $350 from California... try and ship anything that weighs over 100 pounds from Japan. I dare you.

It's not only the weight but the size of the package too, if you can't send it EMS then you will pay out the *** for it. Something like a bumper would cost you 400-500 to get though customs and have it shipped you your house... and that would be on top of paying for the bumper.

You need a JDM front-end for the bumper anyway. So the whole conversion shouldn't cost you more than 2 grand.

heh I've been looking for one of these for over a year. I found one on ebay a while back, but it was cracked.

There is a company in Japan that makes a knokoff of it but I can't read Japanese so I'm SOL lol.

I have a friend that is Japanese and he said he could get the knockoff for about $1700 shipped......

I wish someone in the US made a knokoff of that bumper

we should get a real one and give it to a bodykit manufacture to make a reverse mold of and make copies. people would buy them no doubt at all.

Your best bet is this:

Yahoo auctions Japan, but you need an account and you need someone in Japan to receive the package and send it to you because NOBODY on Y!AJ ships internationally.

I got my Mugen Pro.Kit2 SiR front end off of Y!AJ, but even though I communicate in Japanese, they wouldn't do me the favor of shipping directly to me, so I had it delivered to my boy in musashi-koganei, and he had it shipped to me. Shipping was like almost 400 and it took 3 weeks to get to me. The bumper was brand new though.

also, if you set up an account on Y!AJ know that they charge you a service fee every month after you use your account even if you don't use it anymore so know to cancel your account if you don't plan on using it again.

The bumper itself was roughly 500.00, which is a deal because it used to cost a grand. Fitment is ok, a little off. It bolts on, and has all the mounting hardware included with it. although it mounts using stock mounting points, you'd be best taking it to a body shop to have it fully properly fitted. I put it on myself, but eventually when I repaint my car I'll have them properly adjust it.

Originally 3 years ago, Mugen made more of the bumpers. I went on the official Mugen website (Japanese) and learned that it was back in production for a brief moment to appease those who were searching. I was happier than a pig in ****, and I called up King Motorsports. I EXPLICITLY told them I wanted the EF8 SiR bumper, and they said yeah yeah yeah, they'll take care of it. Dumbasses 2 months later sent me the EF7. I refused the shipment and made them refund all of my money. Then they refused to get me the EF8 one. So then I bought it off of Y!AJ. BTW, Mugen doen't have them anymore again.

If any of you guys are planning to do this, I recommend having your contact in Japan send it via BAX Global. They seem to have the best international shipping rate especially if you go by sea. And if you pick it up from their office that works best.

If you do the CRX EF8 mugen bumper, you need the front end conversion. (headlights, bumper lights, hood and radiator support). The EF7 mugen bumper is a direct bolt on, it's the one Wings West copied their RS bumper from. I don't know about the Civic EF9/3 though.

The EF 9/3 are hatchbacks, the ef9 has the jdm front end and the ef3 is the one that came stock w/ the dual cam ZC and has the front end similar to the usdm one.

I guess my concern would be how the bumper fit's the fenders if you were doing the crx bumpers on the civic, it's a bit different.

has anyone ever seen the full Mugen kit for the EF9 civic? i've only seen it in Hyper Rev magazine and in the mugen ef9 brochure, never on anyone's car in the US or Japan. wonder if it'd be hard to get ahold of.

Yes, I know they make a separate kit, but you could convert an EF9/3 to fit an EF8/7 bumper. The EF8 bumper owns all others IMHO.
