there was a thread awhile back about this. some dude dyno tested the AEM,Injen CAI, and the comptech ice box. surprisingly, the Injen CAI beat them all. I have an AEM on my car now. no complaints here!

The AEM gives a "little" more power thant he comptech. But I think the comptech looks more "factory" if you are going for that look. I belive its also a little more resistant to getting water injested into it.

How can you resist the sound the AEM makes at upper RPMS?

I have a AEM cai, I like it, but if I bought another intake it would be the Comptech Icebox. I hate worrying about water being sucked up.

The AEM CAI is a great intake... I have the bypass valve installed and have had no problems with it (yet)...

reasons i choose iceman:
--can be run as a short intake in bad weather seasons.
--from my research and testing, plastic retains less heat and disipates heat better the alluminum or metals.
--#1 reason...its not AEM. Nothing at all aginst AEM but EVERYONE has it. Yes it works well, but just as good as ICEMAN, and not everyone has that.

I chose Iceman for the same reason above. Also notice that CAI are suppose to bring cold air in? AEM makes a metal pipe and for those that don't know, metal conducts heat. AEM doesn't come ceramic coated yet either and a dyno test with the hood open is cheating.

Injen Two piece intake. Short Ram for winter, CAI for summer.

Do a search in the ITR forum. Austin did a dyno test with the following intakes: AEM, Injen, and Icebox! Check them out for yourself before voting!
