Default Anyone have the Helms pages for the Timing belt procedure.

I'm looking for the pages of the helms that detail exactly what a tech would do during changing a timing belt/water pump/and seals.

The motor is a h22a4 in a 97 SH

If anyone has these It be uber-helpful I need some ammo for dealing w/the dearlership.

see my thread here for further details.

oh.. I mean, like scanned in .pdf format

Thanks though

...or if you could check out the procedure and see if it says to drain/change the oil. that would be super helpful!

You don't need to drain the oil unless you're considering changing the oil pump... Just buy the manual used for $30-40.

Read the other thread, he is asking because ( basically) the dealer didn't do the timing belt job correctly and he needs info to back up his position.

What specifically does he need to know? I skimmed the other post but I don't see anything other than yes, you loose some oil when changing out the balancer shaft seals and the front main seal. Quite possibly you lost some oil. When I had mine done by a friend's shop I was down probably around a quart or two from the bottom dot and they didn't fill it. Though I did check it due to the fact that they did not clamp down the coolant line so I went back and checked it all out. I doubt that you really have any issues as long as you didn't do it for a long period of time. Just as info... general compression for an H22A motor is 210-215. BUT Honda will not do anything until it's below 180 or so.

sorry, my post is a bit hard to follow...

But, that is exactly what I needed to know. After talking to a friend that works @ a dealer he confirmed the same.

The thing is. I was missing 3 and 1/2 quarts. The car was barley driven maybe 2 days out of the week, a total of 20miles, and never saw anything above 5k revs. I'm pretty sure the car is fine, allthough when returning it to the dealer it began to idle funny when I started it up, but that could be any # of things.
