Default new fuel pump/pressure question

my new walbro 255lph arrived today! i bought the regular intank because i plan an running lager injectors in the future. (right now greddy bluebok w/ 310's) how easy is the install? will i have to lower my fuel pressure due to the increased volume of flow from the new pump? all i have is a fuel pressure regulator...i know it's crude, but it'll have to do until hondata...etc...thanks

Installation took me like 15 mins if that. It's a straight swap of your stock pump. Have you removed the stock pump or know how it's done?

The pump flows more, but pressure can only be created by restrictions in the line after the fuel rail (aka the stock FPR).

i have the helms manual and it looks pretty easy. i haven't done too much of my own work but i've been getting my hands dirty as much as possible lately...trying to do more stuff myself. it comes with directions and it looks starightfoward enough...the picture of the stock pump in the helms manual looks quite different than the walbro pump...thats why i was wondering if there were any tricks/anything unexpeceted to watch out for.
thanks

but does that mean that at the same fuel pressure the new pump will give me a richer a/f mixture than the stock one? or will i only notice a difference if i've been pushing the stock pump past its abilities?

No, only an increase in pressure will affect fuel delivery.

True, I have the same pump with an otherwise stock fuel setup and noticed no enrichment.

when does volume enter into the equation in this type of case? when the volume of the fuel's pathway is incerased? like with larger injectors/fuel rail/fuel lines?

i just did the install this morning. i DID notice an increase in pressure at the same regulator setting this pump pushes a higher pressure. AND when i lowered the fuel pressure back to where it was the car runs a bit richer. either my stock pump was crapping out, or volume does affect delivery regardless of pressure. any further ideas?
