im starting to re-assemble my z6, and when installing me ARP headbolts. i noticed there are two bolts that sit higher than the rest... is this normal?

umm, I dont think those are suppose to be like that. I just installed a d16z6 head and all the bolts are the same length. What model are the arp's for?

DewMota, man this is the second post I have seen from you this morning that gives absolutly no help to the people you are posting to. Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed or something? Give the guy a break, he is just asking if the after market bolts are the right ones, or if they are not. AFter market items and even items from dealers can be packaged wrong at times, so ease up man. Go relax and let people who want to help fellow HTer's out help out.

D16,
Did the bolts come with instructions saying anyhting about install? If not call the company and see what they say, they might have packaged the wrong bolts or maybe they are correct. The manufacter will know for certain though.

You MUST make sure the longer threaded ends go into the block. This is important. You want the most threading in the block.
Also make sure you use the ARP lube included. Another important thing is to run a tap through the holes. If you do not, the studs won't be even.

Only 1 of them should be higher than the rest if I remember right (the passenger side closest to the firewall).

Only one should be higher than the rest. I believe on the distrbuter side. If you look at you Head with the valve cover off, there is a raised part which the longer stud should be.
