Default can u put a dohc zc head on a sohc zc block

just like the topic states can u? i need help asap please my rods are shot in my zc and i can pick up a sohc block for cheap if not does anyone have a dohc block thanks

The head bolt pattern of the JDM dohc ZC is only shared with the D16A1 from 86-89 integras and the EV#, EW#, and D15A# engines from 84-87 Civics/CRXs. All 88+ sohc d-series engines use a different head bolt pattern. If you don't believe it, compare head gaskets. So the answer is..............NO!

Too much work for a DOHC head personally. I'd rather build up the SOHC.

Yes, it's possible, but most people (including myself) would argue that it's not worth the time or effort.

yeap it can be done.

All bolts will be differente, an one of the holes in the head must be moved.

It's easear to get an entire dohc block.

That thread in d-series is old has...

This reminds me the sleeved 80/81mm D16 pistons question, and 4x4 crx question....

From time to time someone goes and makes it, and the you feel like you're not the silliest person on earth.. lol!
