got your attention

let me say the head does have damage, although i'm not sure how severe.
cylinder #3


the motor ran lean and a chunk of a valve broke off and obviously scratched up the valve hole (haha, what do you call it?). the scratches are not deep and a light buff should clean it up, but that isn't the reason i'm selling the head.
the picture isn't clear enough, but there are 2 hairline fractures from the top of the valve seat that curl around to the top of the 1st spark plug thread. the cracks are between the red dashes; the bottom one is easiest to see. the cracks do not extend onto the actual valve seat.
the machinist said the head could be welded to fill the cracks. there is no other damage to the head!
i have everything from the valvetrain except the 4 valves from this cylinder (1 had a chip break off and the other 3 looked possibly burnt) and the camgears. it does include the cams, the retainers, the springs, rockerarms, 12 valves, etc - everything. I WILL NOT PART OUT THE HEAD! DO NOT ASK.
the car had just under 68k miles on it when the damage occured.
please only offer an opinion on whether or not the head can be repaired if you HAVE experience.
a new complete head generally costs around $1600. i am open to offers.

haha, chad. the cams alone are worth more than that.

i think head has to be repairable, the cracks are so small. i just don't have time or the interest to be fixing heads. therefore, acura has got me up the poopshoot and i ordered a new head from len.
