Is there any advantages to replacing older high mileage valve springs and retainers with new oem or better, without doing other mods?

 

Well you should get the spring pressure checked on your old springs if they are within spec they are ok if not replace the springs as far as the retainers go I dont personally think they would become worn and need replacement however I could be wrong on this.
