94 Accord EX where to go to get A/C Tested
Ok everything is finally fixed on my 94 Accord Ex EGR ports were nasty fuel injection O rings were shredded, brakes and radiator work. Now lets move on to the A/C where all my money I saved on everything else will go (and yes because of my girlfriend the car must have A/C no windows down at 80 will work) OK my question is who is best qualified to inspect the A/C Ive heard Honda doesnt recommend using dyes for testing should i fork over the money to a Honda dealer to tell me where its leaking. Any suggestions are welcome TIA

I had AC problems on my 94 Accord EX also and as far as I know, the only way to test to see where a leak is coming from is to use a dye. My mechanic recharged my AC with dye added and I'm supposed to use the AC as much as possible to allow the dye to circulate and show wherever it is it's leaking.

Agreed, I work at a dealer and we use dye for pretty much every suspected A/C leak. I don't know of any other way to find a leak in a system.
