energy is a brand and polyurethane is the material that is used to make them. i'm fairly sure that energy is polyurethane.

It gives you a tighter firmer ride and it may squeke a little bit but you can add zerk fittings to regrease.

I looked at doing this on my 91 HF when I installed my GCs and Koni yellows. Suspension bushings were in OK shape so for now no. But I spent about 2 weeks id'ing all of the options. I found and priced all of the OEM bushings using majestic dealer internet. About 350 or so for all I think. Then I looked at Energy systems kits and finally the solid bushings. Considered all variations and would probably gone with OEM in the end because I want a firm sport ride as opposed to a dropped autocross ride with squeaks. Consensus of people who used their cars as daily drivers was go OEM. If i had decided to do the job, I was gonna buy a 20 ton press to help in the process. About 160 bucks. This after reading about a zillion posts on several forums and also talking to my local suspension shop. If I removed all parts and had a machine shop just press-in/press-out it was still a bunch of money just for the work. From what I gather, bushing replacement is about as tedious and messy as anything you can do on a CRX. Only thing harder that I've run into was replacing a complete dash with a new OEM dash in a 73 240z including the wiring harness. I think I am the only person on earth to do that horror...
