Default Clean my CAI's filter.

On a Type-R, do you have to remove the bumper to remove the filter for cleaning. Or is there an easier way? It's AEM if that makes a difference. Thanks.

where the wheel well is, unscrew the firewall plastic thing and reach in there, unscrew the filter off the intake and take it out. If it would make it easier, take our your turn signal. You can try from underneath the car also.

I jack up the car, remove the front passenger side wheel, then remove the black inner wheel lining. If you look under the car and see the slotted black plastic piece, just in front of the wheel, behind the turn signal, that is where it is. The K&N filter is held in place with a metal hose clamp, and requires a bit of elbow-grease to get it on and off the end of the pipe.

Thanks for the replies. I didn't want to take the bumper off if I didn't have to. I'm lazy I guess!
