Koni Yellows: how to adjust the rears and perch?
I need help and could not find anything in a search. I am helping a friend work on his R with Koni Yellows and H&R drop springs. First, the fronts have a **** to adjust the dampening, but how do I adjust the rears? And second, with the Yellows and drop springs on, the rear sits 1" higher than the front. I heard the perches need to be adjusted. How do I go about doing that? Does anyone have any pics of the perch. I am pretty new to this, and pics would really help. Thanks.
the rears can only be adjusted off the car (but yes, you can get creative here). the tophats and springs need to be removed so that you can push the shock rod down and rotate it to adjust the compression/rebound. I think the rotation dierction will be the same as the **** on your fronts.
most koni's have some grooves in them just above the bottom of the shock. in one groove is a big ring that the spring seat/perch then rests on top of. the big ring can be spread open just a little bit to allow it to be moved to the next higher or lower groove to chnge the ride height. be careful to not spread the ring open too far or they will break, ask me how I know...
good luck dude.
