My DIY Subwoofer Support
Got a sub or two in the back of your hatch that bounces around? or wants to break your thin hatch support under the rear carpet? Well then be ghetto like me and make a homemade support to handle the weight. Took under an hour to put together, and actually works nicely.
Necesary Supplies...
Cold Corona...

CD player to listen to jams...

Some old hockey sticks...

Small piece of ply wood...

A saw...

Original stock support...

Drill, screws, marker...

Cut the sticks down to size...

Assemble and prepare for paint...

Paint and screw to original thin supprort...

Before...

Sub awaiting support...

Cover with carpet...

Happy supported sub

Ghetto, but effective

Yeah, would have been easier and would save more weight to just use a piece of wood with maybe one brace going from the floor upwards.
You could have even put a hinge there that would allow the brace to fall out of place if you wanted to remove the cover.
Looks like yours was pretty much free though

ha true, I was just bored and messing around...Plus once my motor set-up is complete and running right...I'll say bye bye to the sub/amp, support, spare, jack, and the backseat.

It's only a 10" Audiobahn powered by a 400 watt Xtant amp, but yeah it bumps nicely in the back of the hatch...perfect bump for me...good clear sound...
