do anyone have this, do you think i should get it, its for a 97 ex, i plan to turbo

i have the gude head package for my h23 but............Gude's customer service is ****** **** although their products are good. i doubt you'll get rippe off or anything but its just a decision you have to make. i'd try to find find another company first.

their cams suck and the grind are terrible

i ve seen 3 people personaly, 2 local and one out of town and we can all confirm their grinding sucks, those are regrinds and there stuff awhile back didn't last long mainly cause of its crappy grind and with very well due to poor lobe finish.

we did a custom f22 regrind and TB Bore and work all for like 450:
so the rest isnt worth another 900

 

If your looking to get that type of work done I live in Columbus and have a very reputable machine shop that I have delt with for the past 5 years. He does great work at a good price. I have a friend in cinnci that drives his engine parts up here to him to be worked on he likes him so much. If you interested PM me and I'll get you some prices. He can do you intake mani, and all head work. If you want a re-grind cam go with crower, there a bit more but they also harden them when there done making then last longer. For the TB just send it to King Motor Sports. Awsome people to deal with and its only like $150+shipping.

 

how much does it raise your compression? because that could be bad for boost....

 

Yea ive HEARD nothing but bad things about Gude's products and customer service.

 

i havent heard the greatest things about gude performance parts myself and if you search the archives you will see that not many h-t members have anything good to say.

 

hey deckedlude, you say that you have the gude package? i was thinking about getting that for my 94 accord ex. i went to accordperformance.com (therefore it wouldn't be gude customer service) and they sell gude cams and the whole package (int. man, cams, TB, and heads) for 1550 with core exchange. They say it will add like 45-55 hp. from your experience, is this true? and, is there anything else that would be important to get with the package? and i assume it's all carb legal right? thanks

My guess is that the stuff probably is not technically CARB legal. After all, making something CARB legal requires tons of money and testing. On the other hand, all of the stuff that they sell is fairly 'invisible' (the tech won't know you have it). In other words, you would have no problem passing the visual portion of a California smog check if you installed a Gude head package. But I'm not sure about the tailpipe.
