Default very strange starting problem on 91 civic hatch

Car is a 91 civic hatch std i believe (no DX badge) with a D15B VTEC and the MPFI swap with a PM6 ecu. The story starts off like this...my and my friend drivin on the freeway, car stutters and bucks, then shuts off completely. Luckily i had a tool set with me so i took off the dizzy cap and find a burnt out coil. We have a NEW coil and cap dropped off but it doesnt fix it. So now i think its the ignitor as well. We get it towed, then i put in a spare ignitor and wha-lah, the car starts. It then dies after 3-5 minutes, and theres no spark. We go and buy a reman. dizzy and the car once again starts up, and dies within 3-5 minutes. Then I find that the ECU is not powering up and fuel pump not priming, so now i think main relay. I change the relay and wha-la, car starts, then dies the same way. We keep changing the main relay (since i have spares) and sometimes it starts the car and sometimes it doesnt. I even kept changing back to some of the relays we already used and sometimes it would start with them and sometimes it wont. I dont think the actual relays are the problem. I am pointing in the direction of temp. related since the car dies after 3-5 minutes and WONT restart immediately after (we have to wait like an hour). On the times the car wont start, the ECU does not blink when the ign. it turned to the ON position. As soon as we turn the key and we see the ECU blink, the car will start everytime. ALL fuses checked and grounds are nice and tight. Please help, im leaving for a week and my friend dont know **** about hondas.

maybe its a wiring issues. Check grounds. and check over wiring.

See the funny thing is, it the car stuttered and died within 2 minutes. There were no warning signs prior to that. In fact, earlier that day on the freeway, the car ran strong like always. All u wiring and or distributor gurus out there, what else can a burnt out coil take with it, besides ignitor? I mean the coil looked pretty ugly at the big outlet, not at the small +/- terminals. I think when the coil went, it took soemthing else with it somewhere other than inside the dizzy. Is this possible?
I literally spent about 5 hrs today tryin to fix this POS. I have never come across a problem like this with any car before.

quite possibly the ignition switch (elec. part) is going bad

when you do get it running, jiggle the key around some and see it it makes it knock off

Been there, done that already. Thanks anyway.
BTW, the problem is not with the motor not cranking, its with the ECU deciding when it wants to power up. It cranks nice and fast.

maybe it burned something out in the ecu and once it heats up it shuts off. thats why it wont turn on till it cools down.

Does a bad fuel pump also cause the ECU to not turn on?
