Ditto Silverstars. Good quality (beam pattern, color, light output [lumens], longevity [color temp & lumens consistent over time, and total bulb life]), reasonable price, and readily available.

Are you guys refering to the same Sylvania Silverstars that they sell at Wal-Mart? I heard the Silverstars were good, but after seeing them at Wal-Mart I got a little skeptical. Can anybody clarify this?

Make sure you stay with the stock wattage! (Stamped on the housing / cover). Going higher wattage will damage the housing and/or reflactors (not 'equivalent' wattage as some are rated, but actual, e.g. 100W instead of 50W or whatever is 'stock'). Some are 50W (or whatever) and have output equivalent to a higher wattage but don't run any hotter. It's the extra heat from the higher wattage that melts and cracks the reflectors.
Yes, if you can get them at WalMart, go for it - save some bucks. WalMart just buys a ton of name brand stuff.

It's stamped on the housing or the bulb cover. Do I have to go look at mine?

Remember the whole Fog light issue with the yellow lense breaking off? Its cause some of those idiots used some crazy wattage PIAA bulb that wasn't needed and the temp. in the housing got so hot, i guess the glue got weak and the lense broke off completely. There's no need to check the wattage, HID bulbs use the same amount of wattage because the Ballast acts somewhat like an Amp for the bulbs. Thats why you get the more intense light but with less wattage.
All HID bulbs are the same in wattage, its just the burning temperature (Kelvin ie 6,000k) because the Ballast require only 35 watts.
Get the SilverStars, i had em on mine. I never had a problem with it. You don't need SUPER EXPENSIVE high beam bulbs, they're high beams, hahaha. You have the HID's.
I only used my high beams once in the R, just once. I think that was to flash a CW R i saw going the other way down I-355. He flashed, i flashed. I use em to say "Hi" . haha
