Car was off, yet lights in climate controls wer still on????
Ok, I had a bit of bad luck with my b18a/CAI/big ole puddle yesterday! I don't know if anything major is messed up or not...yet( haven't even pulled the plugs yet.
However, while sitting dead in a parking lot, waiting on a wrecker, I noticed that my heater/ac control slector buttons were still illuminated. I thought this funny since the car was obviously off, and the lights were off. This struck me as especially odd, since I was holding the key in my hand, and it was nowhere near the switch.
Sorry for the stupid post, just focussing on something a little odd, I'll hopefully get the water out, and try to diagnose any possible damage tonight. Any ideas about the climate controls though?
Oh yeah, for the full story, check out https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=94375 , I posted it in kills because I thought it probably dead last night, now I am hoping for a little more optimistic outlook.

i'm having a problem like this, but it's switched around. my climate controls do not work, period. i'm going to go ahead and check for wiring and fuses. the thing that bugs me, is that it only goes on, when i hit big bumps or reving it high. so i was thinking it my be electrical.
any help is appreciated.

Damn, looks like its a common problem cuz mine stay on all the time too. Its prolly just a relay, but i never got the ambition to look.
Okay, looked at it tonight, seems to just be the light in the defroster selector button( or whatever the hell you want to call it.)
As far as the motor goes, it turns over fine, but not firing( wandering if I got water inside the distributor cap, or if the plugs still had enough moisture to not fire??
I'll let it sit till tomorrow, and try it tomorrow evening. Just damned gladd I have another vehicle to drive.
