My awesome experience with a major fitting manufacturer...long :)
So I've been looking for a brake union (inverted female to invervted female, 10mm thread size using 3/16" lines).
Turns out these things are next to impossible to find. The unions are pretty easy to find, but not in a 10mm thread size. I found a few using 10mm thread, but only to accept bubble flares.
Autozone, Pep Boys, Napa, O'Rielly's, ABC, Home Depot, Lowes, Ace Hardware....basically every place I could think of. Nobody had what I needed.
So I did some searching online and found a manufacturing company who had a product line listed. They are a major supplier of all types of fittings. I browsed their product list, and sure enough...they had exactly what I needed!!!!
But without a major account I figured it was of little use to me. They probably don't sell straight to the public and particularly not in such small quantities.
So I call the 1-800 line to see if they have a local distributor.
Keep in mind this is the actual manufacturer....I get bounced around a while as each person really doesn't know what to do with me. I'm calling to buy 3 specific fittings directly from the source; I'm sure they don't get many calls like this.
So I eventually end up with a nice woman in the account management department. I tell her my situation and that I found a part I'd like to buy in their catalogue. She sounded a bit bewildered at my request. She goes on to say that if I do not have an account I cannot buy it directly from them.
She says that they do have several local distributors, but this particular fitting is rarely purchased and I will probably not find it through one of them.
She asked how many I need...I said 3 or 4.
She went "hmmmmm, well......have you tried an automotive parts store?"
-Yes, nobody around me has them. I've tried everywhere.
And then a long pause ensued.....
"Well, tell you what. I can send you out a sample bag since you don't need very many and you may not be able to find them elsewhere. They come in a bag of five, so I'll just sample this set out to you"
SCORE!
She took down my name and address and said she'd get them out to me today.
This may sound silly to all of you, but these things are exactly what I've been looking around for a week for. I was about to give up, and I'm just so surprised that somebody at the manufacturer was nice enough to help me out with something so vital to my project.

I ended up using lines that were already flared with fittings on them, but they aren't long enough to reach the MC or the driver side wheel well.
I need the union to mate a new line to it....and then I'll bend another line to fill in the remaining space from the 1st line to the MC etc.
I decided to use lines with fittings already attached because I discovered that making a perfect flare was near impossible. This way I won't have to worry about any leaks, and it saved a HUGE amount of time.....just the bending/fitting took a few hours, and my fingertips are raw now
