My car's rpm gauge keeps jumpin rpms and makin my car jerk. Sometimes my car even dies from it. I dont kno wut the hell it is, alot of yall said that I need to put a new distributor in it, so i did that but itz still jumpin like crazy sometimes. Its wierd, it'll do it for a lil bit, then run great. And sometimes the gauge will just jump and the car will b fine. Any Suggestions would b great, im gettin tired of this car. Thanx-K*J

 

Check your ICM wires. If they are not connecting securely you will get those symptoms with the car..

 

my rpms jumped around cause my clutch was slipping. but my car wasnt jerking around so im not sure if its the same thing. sorry bro good luck

 

get a tune up, check ur ignition

 

If you have a haynes, run all the tests in the ignition system, if you need an igniter i have one for $40 shipped.
