Default help integra gurus!!!! cps sensor?

earlier last nite my car was throwin a code for a faulty crank position sensor. after resetting the ecu the code went away and the car ran fine. later on in the evening i was driving and all of the sudden the car wouldnt rev past 3500 rpm. no check engine lights or any warning lights. i stop at a stop sign and the whole car starts to shudder while im sittin there. i get out becuase i realized it sounded exactly like the last time my car died. i pulled all the plug wires and they all made a difference in how the car was running except for number 3, i pulled the wire out and the car's idle didnt change. its back to soundin like a wrx again. it was running only on 3 cylinders. i did a comp test, and its gettin 210 the whole way across. i started the car to move it so the tow truck could pick it up and it fired up on all 4 cylinders. when the truck got back to my house, i drove it off and as it was idling, it went back to 3 cylinders again. its now sometimes throwing a code for a crank positions sensor. accordin to the haynes manual, it says that the sensor should have a resistance of 500-1000. i tested one on a broken distributor and i got readings of 4000. i tested the one on my car and i got a reading of 2000. ok time for the questions. since its out of the range, could this mean its broken? since the cps controls the ignition timing, fuel, spark, engine speed etc... if that is failing could it be causing all my problems? if i buy a new distributor, do they come with the new sensor with them becuase its all one unit? i really dont want to have to take this to the dealer if i dont have to but if all else fails i will.

Sounds like you might have a bad distributor, can you borrow someones to test it out on your car to make sure? If I can, I will try and check my distributor and see what what resistance levels I get.
