Default Can a 4x4 Nissan Titan run a 2:10 or better at VIR?

One of the race cars running in the saturday race had a ***best*** lap of 2:10. There was some talk about what a 4x4 Nissan Titan might be able to run.

Just curious if anyone has lap times for anything goofy like that to put things into perspective.

Nissan does have 305hp (and weighs 4500+lbs)

Not sure if you remember but for year 2 in HC, there was a 120% qualifying rule or sorts (there is similarly a 115% qualifying rule w/ the SCCA for over-subscribed run groups). Looking at the fastest time of a 41.508 for the race (don't see qualifying times), if my math is right, that would be anyone not qualifying below a 2:01.81 would not be allowed to race (1:56.734 for the 115% rule). Perhaps you can approach NASA to see if they can bring back out simlilar rules if you feel this is a safety thing (which I personally can understand why).

Oh and I don't know what a Nissan 4x4 can run by IIRC, PoSEr (or one of the SER guys - didn't think it was MaxQ and don't think MaddMatt has had good enough luck w/ Fords yet ) here ran a Ford Lightening at VIR a few times.

Scot, next time we can take out my Titan and get some times, I think I could do it.. My Titan is almost as fast as my civic in the 1/4. I've seen 15.0's posted on some sites. My Civic, last time I ran it, was a mid 14's

Put a handfull of those fog/spot lights on the front of that thing.... 200Million candle power should get the 944/924's out of the way.

2:32's at VIR Full in my old Lightning. Stock on 285/30/18 Kumho V700s, which really hurt the gearing on the straights ... but did lower it by 2".

Would you still be willing to give point bys? I'd guess I'm a faster jogger... and wouldn't want to get held up.
