lately i have been just crusing around and there will be a random crushing/grinding noise every now and then. It comes and goes as it pleases. I think it might be my cv joint, but im not sure if they would make this noise.
I recently found out that my passenger inner cv joint, had no boot haha. So since i thought it was prob screwed anyways, im driving on it til i buy a new axle. Would the cv joint not having any grease make this grinding noise? also wat are other signs that my cv joint is bad, cus it might just not be bad. Are there any risks im taking by driving on a bad cv joints?
that sound is really starting to bug me... it sounds kinda like im scraping at times. But my exhaust is fine. any input is appreciated. thanks in advance

yeah id say its you cv joint. Happened to me twice...its cause the cv has no grease and there is ball bearings inside the cv thats whats clicking and grinding. I dunno you can probably ride around on it for awhile but you might be taking a risk of the whole inner cv cracking. Believe me this noise irratated the hell out of me when i was driving if thats not enough to have you axle replaced, id say drive it till it snaps.
