What parts do I need to replace my brake lines
After reading some more about ss brake lines I've decided that some new oem replacements would provide almost the same feel and be more reliable. I want to order a new set of the rubber lines from majestic honda but want to make sure I get everything I need (don't know if I'll need new little things likes clips and grommets or can reuse ones that are on the car already)

So right now im ordering #25 for the right and left, #28 right and left, #7, and #11.
Any input on the ss vs. oem brake line debate for a daily driver would be appreciated, and opinions on if its even worth dropping the $115 to replace the oem lines.

All you need are steel braided lines and you're set. I had my rubber lines replaced with steel braided lines and it makes a difference.
I hear that oem lines are good to 3000 psi.
i took some spare lines to a custom hose shop to get steel braided.
Found out that the steel braided lines would be good to 3000 psi.
So i figured it was a waste of $.
Unless you do serious heavy/repeated braking i'd say use oem lines.
You just need the hose. Everything else should be fine.

SS lines feel better for 2 reasons.
1. They (at least from what I've heard in goodrige's case at least) have a smaller inner diameter.
2. The steel braid helps reduce flex in the line making sure that when you step on the pedal, none of that effort gets wasted in flexing the lines.
I noticed a BIG difference in pedal feel after switching to braided...but that's obviously just my oppinion.
The only drawback I know of to SS lines is that after time (supposedly) dirt and crap can get under the braid and abraid the silicone hose underneath. This is why the neuspeed lines are coated on the outside. (other than the cool look)
If I hadn't gotten such a good deal on my goodridges, I would have gotten the neuspeeds instead.

Nobody said stock lines wouldn't hold the pressure or that steel braided lines would hold more pressure.
The stock rubber lines expand, which translates to a mushy pedal feel for the driver when you really get on it. The SS lines have eliminated that feel for me with no other variables changed. The pedal is solid.

You will notice a difference. I also upgraded to front Teg brakes, and Teg MC and BB, and now my CRX stops better than my Teg. lol
