FAQ: Wiring Harness Plugs (What are their names/Where do they go?)
This is an MPFI harness I received back from HCP. Can you guess the plugs?

the green one goes to resistor and the four goes to injectors, and the other ones just plug up to the other harness, take out your DX one and plug and play, only thing that would be different is the injectors and resitor box
Put 9/10 on the alternator, and 19 on the starter, and the rest will just fall into place. I can name about 80% if you need it, but its not hard to figure out, just put the harness on the engine.

mainly the #12 and what do I work out ont he Si distributor? I am also trying to add the y8 IM at the same time.

This man is correct...and sticky this and change the title I tried searching for a thread like this when I was doing my swap and this would have helped immensely (not that it was that hard to figure out but would have saved me a lot of time).

wary, wary quick on the headfoot!
except for this everything looks in order. What else is needed?

Two wires for the cylinder position sensor: a blue/green wire that goes to pin C1 at the ECU, and a blue/yellow wire that goes to pin C2.
sorry about bringing a topic back from the dead. But, who made you that harness and how much did it cost you? I have a 90 std that i recently did the mpfi swap on and my harness looks like total crap. I need one made like that if i could get it for the right price.

HCP doesn't even advertise what they do, we back our products 100% with phone support and a lifetime warranty. And i bet we're cheaper if not equal price.

I'll post a pic of our conversion to show the differences. We're much cleaner.

Notice how long the injector run is and how it doesn't follow the harness wiring.
Also the lack of loom on it, just tape.
Don't see the pins going to the ECU, but i'm sure they aren't crimped on like ours.
We mark all of our plugs so this question never comes up
says TPS on the TPS plug etc... Those 2 pins around the intake manifold can be confusing. you certainly don't want your knock wire in your TPS plug and vice-versa
I'll contribute to this... I'll make a H22, K20, Z6, B16 and ITR version of these pics just as soon as i get them on an engine stand. lol

Oh and your question about the y8...
You can use this on the y8 if you use the A6 injectors. The y8 injectors are obd2 and have a different clip.
The wire for the map sensor will have to be extended to use the y8 map.
The IAT wire will have to be extended... and put somewhere.
Just read, http://www.geocities.com/joeyp....html

ive got a question about the amount of wiring harness you guys need when you do the swap. im interested in sending a dx harness to rywire at some time this summer, but do i need to send the whole harness from the ecu to all the sensors? or can i just send the portion of the harness that unplugs from the passenger side shock tower? i want to pull a harness out of a donor car and send that so that i have a minimal amount of downtime.

is it this portion? i know this car is an si, but i need to know for a dpfi->mpfi swap on a dx where i pull it. cause i already messed with a car in the junk yard as far as pulling it from the ecu plug out, and that was kinda a pain.. this is for a friends dx, thanks guys

well i guess to answer my own question and for anyone else who has this question, it looks like you pull it where i circled, atleast from the pictures earlier in this thread.
