which ecu to use?? help needed
ok here is the deal. i just bought a 1989 civic dx with an auto transmission. im taking a spare manual trans. from my 1988 crx hf and slapping it in the civic. my question is what ecu should i use? im pretty sure that i can't use the dx auto ecu but should i use a manual dx or the manual hf ecu? also, what kind of gas mileage do you guys think i will get with the dx d15b2 and the hf manual trans? that is actually what my goal for this project is to actually see what kind of gas mileage i can pull out of the car. thanks a lot for the help.
edit: a couple more questions...my friend has a set of manual pedals from a 1987 crx. do you guys think i could use these pedals for the swap?

correct.. its a PM5
correct.. its a PM5
ok, i didn't know if that would work correctly because the hf manual transmission is different from the dx manual transmission from gear ratios and such. anyone know what the difference in gear ratios are and the final drives?
it will work but the HF tranny is teh suck.. its geared very long for fuel efficiency. it will work with the DX ecu though. imho look for a Si tranny.. even a dx tranny would be better than the HF. good luck!
