i am considering swapping an msd blaster coil with the msd distributor cap for the stock coil since it took a dump. would this be a good idea? will i fry anything else if i run this setup?

my setup is a 00 y8 with a greddy kit pushing 7 psi.

your using msd with the internal coil?

if so...how?

if i'm understanding him thats not what hes saying hes talking about running an EXTERNAL coil instead of the internal coil

 

if your saying that your thinking of getting an msd set up instead of the stock ignition set up, then yeah...you'll be fine. i've ran the msd ignition kit on all my honda motors. never had a problem and it idles good.

 

you wanted to know if you can run an external coil coz you're internal coil took a dump on you. It will work just make sure you install it correctly
