Default Need some reviews... Looking for a set of softer 'sport' springs...

Sorry for the "noob" question, I would just like a little opinion. I have a set of Ground Control coilovers on my CRX (just bought it), and the suspension is extremely stiff, as it should be with GC suspension. So I'm looking for a set of sport springs that aren't as stiff as my GCs because its getting old with the road I drive on. I think I'm SOL because thats what all of the aftermarket people are going for...

So the question is, what is the softest set of 'sport' springs that you have/have had/have ridden on/have heard about?? TIA

Why not trade out your GC springs? You could check out the Roadracing thread for softer coils, if not classifieds.

yeah, or call GC tell them you dont like the ride and want custom spring rates, they will ask you some questions and determine the right spring rates for you

I don't want to give up the GCs, I'd want them after I move out lol. I just want to buy some straight out. I know all about the classifieds and everything, but I'm not looking for any (as of the moment), I just want to know if you guys have tried any and they were pretty soft springs. I just want some input .

I also don't really want to pay too much, but I'll check out GC for different springs...

Have a 91 CRX HF. Had since new. Needed replacement suspension. Did not want ot lower much. did not want 'hard' suspension. called GC talked to guy there, told him my goals. Told him I was planning to get Koni yellows. Got their recommende kit, koni yellows. Also got the shock tops from GC for the front. Ride in my opinion is outstanding. Firm but not too stiff. Ride hite adjust so its about .75 to 1 inch lower.

If u are too stiff, try softer springs. The ones I got were the 'standard' I think based on my requirements.

I was pretty suprised at the outcome. I thought I'd end up with a siffer suspension than I did. Should I ever want that, I can just buy different springs and adjust the konis..

just get a pair of 150lb springs and put them in the rear and put the 275lbs springs that came with the GC kit up front and your ride should be very close to stock.

then set your ride height wherever you want it.

tolnep, just curious, what did they end up giving you?
