Default s2000 w/ an ls6? Does this car exist?

Pretty simple question...

I'm looking for pictures of a 2000 model s2000 with a ls6 V8 motor in it.
The car is supposively located in Texas

I'm hoping this thing really exist.

Thanks guys,

vdubspeed

Yeah, I agree with Hypersonik. I believe that would throw off the balance of the car. If you've got lots of money laying around and you want to go fast in a straight line, then go for it. Seems like a pointless deal to me. Even Ford guys would have a hard time putting a Chevy engine into their cars. (emotional/loyalty issue)

I too would also like to see this if it exists. I too have heard rumors of it. Even though handling would be sacrificed, I would love to drive it although I am not big into curves.

will it even fit? this is a 90degree big block V8 we're talking about here.

when i say big block, i mean relative. yea I know the 350 is a "small block"

also, the tranny would be bigger, probably forcing most of the engine to the front of the wheels. talk about building a plow

Well...it kinda is a rumor on another forum. I've searched and searched and have NEVER seen pics. I don't know many details except:
owner: first name Alex
year:2000
engine:LS6
location:TX

If you guys could pull your resources together and ask friends or other big Honda sites it would be cool. I don't want to flame another person unless I'm 100% sure it doesn't exist.

Thanks again,

Jason

I think a Supra Turbo inline 6 or the SR26 from the skyline would be better swap candidates for a S2000. I don't think the S has enough space for a wide engine, but since these 2 are inline, they will fit fine. I would imagine 2 or 3 cylinders would be forward of the axle though.

Yes, Alex does have an LS6 in his S. Basically he did it just because he can. He's on S2KI. AlexF20C

WELL!!! Where are the pics. You along with COUNTLESS others keep saying it exist. I just went to http://www.s2ki.com and searched through ALL his post and didn't find one picture. By looking at his post the swap must be pretty new because in 03 his questions/post referred to the original motor.

Answer me this DarkSubRosa...have you EVER seen a picture of it?

Lastly...it seems like people over at s2ki don't even believe him.

How can someone that owns an e55AMG, 383 Camaro, s2k w/an ls6 and countless other cars...not have a digital camera of have SOMEONE taking pics.

Like I said...I'm going to continue searching but this is getting old.

My friend Trent knows him personally..... Sorry I don't have pics. Alex jokes a lot on the board and says a lot of sarcastic stuff. Don't know what else to say really.. I'm not going to Texas to take a pic just for your satisfaction.

I dont know if it does exist yet but I cant imagine it being that tough for someone who is competent in fabrication / hot-rodding / hybrids.

I'm in the process of stuffing a LS1/T56 into my 2nd gen RX7 and there is no reason why you couldnt do the same to an S2000. I know you wouldnt want to, its stupid expensive for any S2000 rolling chassis thats why.

funny thing is, the 1997+ 325hp/350tq LS1 swaps can be had for $2500-5000 on ebay all day long. the motor is not that tall and not that wide compared to overhead cam v8 motors like the modular v8 in the ford mustang, etc... check out this guys pics for some shots of an ls1 inside a 2nd gen RX7 http://www.speakeasy.org/~andrewb/rx7/

I hope an LS1-S2000 does exist... so that I dont have to build one to be the first... to prove its capabilities and to show it is possible without too much work. but if there is not one made yet, then you will probably see me make one next year once my LS1FC is completed.

[screaming]ALEX DOES NOT HAVE A V8 IN HIS S2000!!!!!!! [/screaming]

I have been on the S2000 board since the first day of it's existence and I am certain that alex doesn't have a S2000 hybrid.

If you got a lightweight V8 (not sure what the weight of an LS1 is) into an S2000 that would be pretty damned cool..... I had a 914 porsche with a small block chevy in it.... .stock transaxle though.

I have read damn near every one of Alex's posts...... he used to tell everyone how his dad owned all of these high end german cars.... bla bla bla.... in the end he is just an average guy with a plain S2000....which is fine...... he certainly doesn't have any 5.7L S2000!!!

If these guys can fit an LS6 in a Miata, the motor can fit in an S2000 too...

dood take a chill pill before your head explodes. you really should lay off the coffee. There are pics of the motor in Alex's garage... I'm finding out more info personally for you guys...

Why so many !!!!!!!!!! If indeed the motor isn't in the car yet he does at least have the motor. Now if it makes it or has made it in the car... I thought it already had but last time Trent talked to him it was an idea and he did in fact have the motor. I'll keep this updated as soon as Trent talks to Alex.

not necessarily. the S2000 doesn't have a lot of width between the towers. I have my doubts on whether a 90 degree big block (relative) will fit.

by comparison, miatas have a lot more width. Yes, I've seen both.
