info on 87 Si CRX
Kinda new to the CRX part of town...but i have a few questions on a CRX i'm about to purchase....First its an 87 Si CRX...now...What other model aftermarket car parts match with this one....(ex: intak, exhaust, etc.) Second is that car worth my time and money if it has 187k miles on it. Owner says it has a new clutch, and the car looks like it is somewhat dropped but i cant tell for sure if it is.....Any info on this topic would be AWESOME!
The 87 si crx is a lite crx. Some where around 1900 pounds. Good car for racing if your going that direction. As far as the stock motor goes, I would swap it for a b series with some hasport motor mounts, some wiring, some 89 integra upper control arms and I think you'll need the half shaft, and axles, and then the motor should drop in. I think they make one or two bodykits. Lowering the car is very simple, theres a nut underneath both sides of the car the car has torqshion bars, to lower and raise the car just loosin and tighten that nut. I'm new at this too so you might want to get some more oppinions, just in case.
Check these guys out. They can tell you anything you want to know about that CRX.
