Does this caliper/knuckle look like an SI??
Alright guys...I have an offer for a pair of 1990 SI knuckles for dirt cheap. But I was a little doubtful on the shape and size of the calipers....They just look like regular DX knuckles/ calipers to me. Lemme know what you guys think....is it really an SI or DX knuckle/ caliper? Here's the pic of one of the knuckles.

DX and Si are the same anyway. HF and STD are the smaller ones. I think you are a little confused, the only real differednce between the Si/DX, and the HF/STD is the spline count. This is because the axles are smaller.

Hmmmm..I always thought the SI front brakes were a little larger than the DX's? So I guess the EX's were the only ones with the larger caliper/disc combo?

Yes sir you are correct only the EX has the 10.3" brakes, all other EF's have 9.5" except I beleive that JDM SiR knuckles have the 10.3" also. I have 11.1" on mine using all stock parts, from an array of hondas. Check this link out. http://home.wideopenwest.com/%7Etschmidt/index.htm

Correst, only the EX Sedan brakes are bigger, the DX and SI brakes are the same.

FYI, DX and Si 88-91 brakes are the same size, but the CRX Si has a different caliper than the civic Si, atleast in the 90-91 years. It is the same size, but a different design. I know this for a fact as i put a CRX Si caliper onto my DX hub becuase my DX caliper was bad. When i went to change brake pads, the DX set wouldn't fit onto the Si caliper, and it was then that i noticed the different design.
Also, my 13x7 diamond racing wheels wouldn't clear the CRX caliper, but it cleared the DX caliper with ease.
The CRX Si caliper appears to be a smaller version of the DA calipers, if you know the design im speaking of.
that appears to be a civic DX/Si caliper in that picture.
