That's a HUGE amount of miles.
It's hard to come up with a fair price for a car with mileage that high, just because you don't hear about similar cars.
Given that you can find cars with half the mileage for only a grand or two more, that sounds pretty expensive to me, but again, that's not based on hearing prices for other, similar sales.

Damn, that's two high mileage '97s in a week's time.
If it's in good shape buy it but have some pocket change for repairs/ maintenance.

IMO, if the car is clean all over and you get it for 11, you stole it.
ITR's are a dying breed, getting worse by the day. The less there are, the more they're worth. What's that called? oh right, supply and demand...
1-2 years ago, this may have seemed insane, but look for ITR prices to hold their ground due to them not being easily found/purchased. Over a year ago, in my area, there were 3 well-used ITR's for sale in local dealerships, with oem parts missing and mods done, selling for msrp. Insane but true.

What would everyone here consider a good price for a 98 ITR with a JDM swap, where the mileage isnt known, but they take a guess that its around 60k miles now?

Mileage = just a number.
It's how the car is taken care of maintained and driven... personally, I think high mileage = lot's of highway miles.
If overall condition seems good, if it's original owner and he seems ok, I'd buy it.
Edit - do a compression check, it's easy and could tell you a thing or two about the motor.
-K, who's had a few 200k+ miles cars

some in our area even over MSRP, like 3-4k over

Shiznit wears out. CV joints & boots, wheel bearings, suspension bushings, etc, etc. It will still run, but it won't be the same. Have a careful look. I'd like to see prices stay high too. Price with this mileage = Very subjective.

..thats alot of miles for a 98. thats more than my 94 ls has. so you kno it has been driven alot since 98. but since its an itr, its worth buyin, but for that much id take em all the way down to 10k, or maybe even less. if the owner doesnt kno what he/she has, then try to take em way down. but if its someone that actually knos what they have, then good luck gettin any lower. try kelly blue book too. that sometimes helps.
thanx

I know the person selling this car. its completely worth it. the body is in awesome shape and so is the motor. Ill do a compression test on the motor soon and post the results for everyone to see.

You mean, unlike before it hits 100K miles?
