I have searched and can't find what I am looking for.
I picked up a 95 "DX" and everything appears stock except it has the "CX" motor, non intermittent wipers, and the cx exhaust, no rear wiper. The tailgate has Civic DX on it and there is a passenger outside mirror. I'm kinda thinking it is a cx with a swapped tailgate. Can I verify this with the VIN?

yes you can verify that with the VIN. Do a Carfax. Even the free one will tell you the model I believe. MY CX had all the same stuff as well and I was told it was a DX previously as well.

 

dx= side molding
thats the easiest but people do put molding on a cx <-------i did
