Default best way to take off chip in a ecu

im tryin to take off a chip i my 95 poa ecu not sure what chip but im putting the real mugen chip not the **** you find on ebay.but im trying to take it off not sure if i should just yank it off any sgtns..

unless you an electricain, you should have that done professionaly......cause if you cant soder, your fuct............and BTW: Mugen never ever made chips for accords

It should be in a socket? Just pry it out as evenly as possible.

should is be soldered on to the board, taking it out is nothing difficult. i do electronics reapair, but anyone can pretty much do it. you will need a soldering iron, solder braid (nothing but copper braid), and some solder flux (basically, itll let the solder flow easier allowing you not to burn the traces off the board). i suggest you get some junk PCB and practice on it. simply dip the solder braid into the flux....lay the braid next to the pin/pins you want to desolder...apply your tip to the braid and push against the pin...and watch the solder flow onto the braid and off the pin. you may need to use some needle nose pliars to loosen the pin up. you can pick all that stuff up at your local over priced Radio Shack, or if you happen to live near milledgeville, GA i wouldnt mind helping out. whatever you do good luck

a real mugen chip eh? well, when they make one, let us know how it feels...until then, you are buying the same **** that is on ebay...good luck budy
