I found a set of Itr gears locally and the guy selling them to me is going to install it in my gsr tranny. Is there a way to tell that I actually do have Itr gearing once I get the tranny back and installed? Would this gearing also be beneficial for drag racing? Any help would be great!!
The gearing in the USDM Si(R) tranny is same as the USDM ITR tranny.
The difference between the two is with or without the LSD.

You can count the teeth on the gears.

A helpful page by Katman (as discussed by Black R):

Eh? The gearing is not the same for ITR and GS-R. (Is it 3-4-5 are different?)

I said USDM Si(R). Okay, let me reiterate...USDM '99-'01 Honda Civic Si(R).
That site is wrong on the 99-00 si final drive. There was a debate on this a little while ago, and i have a Si tranny in my GSR with a quaife, and i can assure you, it does NOT have a 4.266 FD. The Helms manual says it is 4.266, but it is a misprint. There is no USDM B16 tranny that has a 4.266 FD, only the LS tranny has this FD.
