pics of my black ITR rims and flex/chassis damage?
first off the good stuff
this has actually been like this since oct....finally just now postin it hehe
now for the bad stuff (kinda).....went to gingerman one weekend in oct and found out at the end of the day i had a flex crease on my front passenger quarter panel
and some of the paint near where the struts come out in the front, the paint peeled back as well.
and the peeling was on both sides. havent had a chance to take it to the body shop to see if the frame is bent or not, but i been drivin it like this for the past month and it seems ok. any1 thinks there mite be a problem? is this normal if u run it hard??
comments welcome

sorry bout the big pics for yall dial up boys.....my digi cam is 3.1 mpx n i always leave it at normal so they end up this damn big lol....
i wonder why it had honda-tech.com in front, cuz i sure as hell didnt put that in the img section, but thanks fast R
i painted them with 2 coats of primer and 2 coats of high temp flat black available at ur local pep boys
turned out pretty good i must say, n still no paint chipped off after over 4k on it since
had to redo them since i had thought i got gunmetal rims but found out later it was painted that color

the paint cracking where the struts is semi-normal. Normally it happens to you, when you lower the car too much which can cause the arms to bottomout and hit the metal struts when you cause a load on the suspention. On my car it does that exact same thing, well it use to until I raised it up to a better racing height and stiffened up the shocks.
As for that other problem with the metal flexing, it almost looks as if the tire hit the fender which caused it to bend. That theory would also explain why you arms hit you struts which caused the paint to crack. Do you have the car way to low? From the pictures I saw it looks like your front tires are really close to the fender! If you pulled out on the track like that without some crazy stiff race suspention, you probally bottomed that tire out and hit the fender. What suspention setup do you have? Did you go out onto the track with that height? Also what gap do you have from the fender to tire? IMO, it seems like the car was too low when you raced it. Has your tires ever rubbed the fender on the street? If so, then on the track they defintally rubbed it or more like hit it so much or hard that it caused the fender to bend. By racing it at the track you caused major load on the suspention which caused the car to compress the suspention so much that the tire was hitting the fender a great deal which caused it to bend, which also causing the arms to hit the strut which caused the paint inside to chip. To solve this you either raise the car up more to compenstate for the load when racing or you can get a nice suspention system that will allow you to adjust the stiffness and rebound, etc...
Also getting a camber kit would help, then you could pull in the camber so that the tire wont be that close to the fender.

ahhh seems like u have a pretty sound theory. for sure i dont have crappy suspension, i have jdm 99 spec apexi n1's. on the day i was running it was on full stiff and yes i also ran at that height. guess you could be right on the height thing, maybe my front tire did hit the fender on a turn (or a wipeout since i wiped out 4 times that day
) and caused the crease. but the funny thing is i never recall bottoming out on the track on the front, and on the street the only time i hear rubbing is in the rear when i take hard turns, but that has since been taken care off when i raised the rears up a lil. but i know my fronts has never rubbed on street. n its been the same height, track or street. dunno the gap but i'll measure it tomorrow morning, its too damn cold to do it now
maybe next time i'll try runnin a lil higher, but i saw a few guys out that day that their cars was even lower than mine, but maybe their spring rates are super stiff, since mines are kinda ***** (9/5)

yeah it must have been when you wiped out or took a turn really hard. Most likely it was when you went off the track. You figure the speed you going and you go off track and hit a bump, that will defintally hit the fender with that height no matter how stiff the suspention is. Also going off track probally caused the arms to hit the struts. Anyway, yeah next time raise the car up some more, figure 2-3 finger gap between the tire and fender (just guessing), maybe pull the camber in some so that if the tire does pop up and hit the fender, it will just rub against it rather then being a direct hit on the edge of the fender. However a good corner weight, alignment, toe adjustment, camber adjustment, etc... will be the ultimate best solution for the car.
