Anyone know where I can get the tool to change valve springs w/ out removing the head?
the part that hooks to your air compressor...I haven't been able to find one, I've been searching tool sites under valve, and valve holder
if that will work, I'd be set because i have one of those laying around...is that basically all it is? A spark plug fitting w/ a hole in it to filll w/ air?
I've seen willard use something like that while having someone keep the cylinder pressure at about 100 psi (it will leak a bit) while he used a spring compressor to change springs/retainers/holders.
Give me a call tomorrow noonish or so about that front piece, so we can get together in the afternoon.
Thanks, Ed
P.S. These are on tomorrow afternoon

I've heard of people feeding rope into the cylinder and then turning the crank to hold the rope against the valves. If you do use air, you don't need 100 psig to hold the valves in place. I used 30 psig when I did mine.
The rubber adapter tube from a compression test kit will work, you just have to remove the valve.
