Default RPMs not dropping quickly enough under 2k

Recently I took off my TB to remove the rear motor mount. While it was out, I removed some of the crub using carb cleaner and a rag. 2 days after, I noticed that when I would disengage the clutch, my rpm's would drop really slow under 2k. It would take upwards of 20 seconds for the rpm's to drop to ~900.

If I let go of the gas while in say, 5th gear, my rpm's drop to about 2k fine, then my car would just cruise along at 40mph for a short distance before it starts to slowly slow down.

Another thing, before when my car was working normal and I would let off the gas while in gear, my a/f meter wouldn't read anything, but now when I let off the gas, it reads rich.

I've replaced the TB gasket thinking that it was leaking and I've checked all vacuum lines. Any thoughts on what may be broken?

sounds like your throttle position sensor is going out. try recalibrating it by loosening the screws (if u have rivets u need to replace those with screws) then move the sensor around. you need to use a voltmeter. look up tps under search for more details.

Actually, I removed the IAC valve to clean it and I forgot to plug in the connector. While driving I noticed the CEL and remembered that I had forgotten to plug it in. I also noticed that it was working fine except for the CEL, very crappy idle with the A/C on, and revs dropping way too fast.

Sounds like I found the culprit no?
