I'm installing an HID kit on my 94 Accord and everything is plug and play as far as the wiring goes but I'm wondering how and where you guys mounted the ballasts and wires. The engine bay seems pretty cramped and I don't see any place to put them.

Can you guys with HIDs post pics of where you mounted the ballasts and where you tucked the wires away? Thanks in advance.

 

on the driverside, there's plenty of room down there by the power steering fluid reservoir...you can either drill or find a pre existing hole...on the passenger side, i used the raised area creating the shock towers right behind where the original intake chamber would be...

 

on the drivers side like mentioned there should be a good amount of space, but for the drivers side im guessing you have abs since you dont have space... a few of my friends put em right under the abs lines but they had to drill + use double sided tape.

Yeah I do have ABS and it still looks pretty cramped on the drivers side. Can you guys post pics of both sides of how you mounted them? Thanks in advance.

 

i dont have pics of his car, but there should be a spot right behind the steering fluid reserv. like nick h mentioned.

its a little hard to get to but its a perfect fit... my friends have the xenondepot kit.

well here you guys go... i dont have abs. get creative! hehe good luck btw if you have the h4 hids, you DEFINITELY should invest in some casper shields.

i got a 5th gen accord with philips HID, i mounted them in the same place as s.cali alan did .. i got pics, hit me up on AIM if you want to see the pictures ..... lata

 

mine is also mounted like that, next to the battery and intake .

Do you have a closeup pic of how you mounted the ballast on the drivers side? I have an EX with ABS so my space is a bit cramped there.

 

I used one of my girlfriend's hair rubber band thingies to secure the ballast there. It has been a little more than a year, and her hair band is still holding up perfectly. Sorry for the blurry pics. PM me if you want the hi-res ones.

 

there we go...that's a creative way of doing it. i don't have abs, so i just mounted it against the wall by the fender

 

Is there any place to mount the ballast on the pass side with the stock airbox?

 

when you mount it, use those 8 inch long black zip ties, ive had a set now running close to five years, no screws or nothing, just a few zip ties for each ballast and it is kosher!

 

Any one have any info on 03 Accord HID/ Projector kits other than the JDM E-bay special?
