Has anybody done this b4? and if so can you post helpful facts or links? i have searched on H-T and only found a thread about a DC5 cluster in an Ep3 and it had no response...so if anybody can help me out it would be great. However, the only issue holding me back from this swap is some info and a cluster harness from an Ep3 so im going to do it for sure im not asking just to ask haha. So LMK if you come across anything...aight THankZ

 

there was a write up on doing a rsx or ep3 cluster (I can't remember which) in a del sol floating around here within the last couple weeks... If I recall right it said something about the speedo never having the capability of working because of some ecu/wiring discrepencies or something to that effect... if I find it i'll post you the link up... If you figure it out do a write up!

the reason it won't work unless you have a k-series swap is because the old style clusters are analog. The new ones use didgital senders for all the info, for things like engine temp, gas, ect, that gets it directly from the ECU's code. The one person who had it in his civic also had a k20 swap. The k20 ecu is alot diffrent then the b-series.

don't be an *** about it, you didn't mention you have a CR-V cluster dude.

As stated before, Unless you have a K series swap it wont work. The speedo at least. If you install a K series, I would get a Civic helms and a 03 civic helms and just cross reference the wiring. We did this when I did my Integra cluster way back and it worked perfectly.

 

the wiring isn't too diffrent except for the one wire that sends all the digital info. Without that, it won't work.

 

 

so basically it is IMPOSSIBLE with a normal b-series, h-series, or d-series? that sucks.
