Prospeed header doesnt fit
Well upon trying to install the prospeed header, it doesnt fit. Its resting directly on the oil pan, and when trying to bolt the cross member up, it just wont go.
nothing is ever simple. Also, front motor mount is cracked and cv boot is slightly ripped. lol, im just ****** hating life right now.

Theres really not much Brian can do about it, he didnt design the headers nor does he make them... Hes just selling another persons/companies products... Its not really his fault, hes the middle man in this whole situation...
The guy who makes these and other headers just recently moved from one shop/company to another... Im not sure if he was able to take the jigs with him from his previous shop to the new one, if they are using completely new jigs that may attest to some of the fitment issues...
They are also using a new materials supplier too so that may also play a part in fitment differences here and there...
Im curious to see if AN-R and Ericks racing are running into the same fitment issues with these headers now too...

sorry to dissapoint you but yes i can have the changes made. Whether you like it or not Rick. He told me today about the header fitment problem and it will be fixed this week and be back on his car. I can make any changes i want to the header. It is a tight fit but the headers have been made to fit before.

Of course you can, I never doubted that... The point I was making was that you dont design or make these headers so if there are any fitment or qaulity issues its not fair for blame to be placed on you... When you order a part for a customer and the wrong part is sent to you from the manufacturer that isnt entirely your fault...
Thats all I was saying

I do have a hand in header changes and design. I have made the headers fit for A/C and i have made changes so that the headers fit easier into civics and accords. I might not physically make them with my own hands but who does? Do you think most the owners of companies actually build them themselves? Do you realize that most companies contract other comapanies to build parts for them? I work with my guy closely. Thats why i can say i can make all of the changes. AN_R or whoever sell headers do not work with him to do any changes or R&D. I do accept any problems that a customer might bring up to me because its my responsibilty to take care of the customer. Thats how it should be. If i sell a DC header and it doesn't fit on a customer car i will send it back if its a defect or wrong header and i will supply my customer with one that will work for their application whether i made it or not. Thats how it should be.

Thats called subcontranting labor, or, in cases in which you actually design a part and own the rights to the design but choose to inlist the manufacturing capabilities/services of a larger more production capable phacility to produce your part/s... That practice is commonly refered to as private labeling.
When its something, like in your case, where its a pre existing product designed and developed by another individual/company who gives individuals/companies buying his/their parts the ability to request fitment and material changes then yes, by all means thats your right... I never questioned that... AN-R and Ericks Racing are intitled to do so as well...
For instance, the headers Im working on now were designed by Engineers and professional header fabricators... The originals are made on aplicable vehicles, test fitted until fitment is perfect, tested against other market offerings, then finally when the product reaches a level of performance and quality desired... jigs are formed... The original headers are then cut into pieces and taken to a bender to have specific form bends produced to reduce cuts and welds through out the cunstruction of the headers... The formed pieces are then taken to a fabricator who then welds the pieces together in form with the pre made jig...
Thats production for you... Thats what Im going through right now...
Its easy to go ahead and buy another persons/companies product and stamp your name on it... Thats about as easy as it gets really... Make changes here and there all you want... Thats just not my style...
The only problem with that is sooner or later more people are going to find out who makes your/everyones stuff... More people will have access to the same things you have access to... Seeing that niether you or anyone else dealing with the same individual has any type of propriotory/contractual agreements barring the sale of any one or multiple commonly sold products its only really a matter of time...When that happens, the products you sell will then be, what the market commonly refers to "whored out"
It pays to be original, it pays to be one up on the rest... It takes money to make money thats for sure... In the end though, when you have something thats yours, something only you can produce/distribute/sell there is no chance of your product being "whored out"
Good luck to you though Brian, I wish you the best with the headers and all other ventures of Prospeed

And one more thing Id like to add...
for customer serveice...
There are way too many people out there who would just brush that kind of stuff off and not even think twice about it... The fact that you stepped up and are taking the necessary actions to get your customer taken care of is awesome and should be noted by all others looking to do business with Brian in the future...

Anyone else notice that SMSP kept his nose out of another company's problem. I like that about him. I am a soon to be owner of a prospeed header, and think the customer service has been great thus far, I can also say if I had the urge to spend more money on a header, I would have gone SMSP

i would if i had the money. need a clutch first, i was just kidding about selling it to me earlier
